Privacy

Short version: we have no reason to collect and resell your personal details, and we don’t. Quotes and purchases happen on the UNILINK checkout, with payment on a Flywire payment page.

What we don’t collect

  • No quote forms. There is no form on this site that collects your name, contact details, visa dates or health information to pass to an insurer or a lead buyer.
  • No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.
  • No selling of data. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone, including insurers.

The cover finder

The cover finder on the home page runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are used to sort the providers already published on this site and are not transmitted to us or to anyone else.

The assistant

The site offers an assistant that answers questions about OSHC. If you use it, what you type is sent to our own backend so it can generate a reply, and conversations may be retained to diagnose faults and improve answers.

Please do not type anything into it you would not want stored — in particular, do not enter passport numbers, visa grant numbers, payment card details or medical details. The assistant does not need them and cannot use them.

Analytics and logs

We keep basic server logs (such as the pages requested and approximate region) to keep the site working and to understand which guides are useful. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.

When you follow a link to an insurer, you are on their site and their privacy policy applies. Those links carry no tracking identifiers from us.

Your choices

You can browse the entire site without providing any personal information. If you have used the assistant and want the conversation deleted, write to contact@compareoshc.au.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date on this page.
